I believe interior design should be a collaborative effort. I love working with clients to meet the specific needs of their project. Whether they are related to lifestyle, budget or style, interior design should be a fun process that comes together to achieve your goals.

When it comes to design I feel less is usually more, and not every square foot needs something on it. There is a defining balance between space and what we put in it. Too little and the room can be cold and uninviting, too much and it is crowded and uncomfortable. Finding this balance for each individual client is what I love most about design.

I am from Krakow Poland where I developed a deep love and appreciation of nature and its incredible beauty and harmony. I bring this passion into the interior design work I do with clients, as I work with them to find solutions to their specific needs and tastes. I see my job as a source to help clients create a home that is both comfortable and beautiful while being true to their aesthetic. There is no ‘one’ correct solution when it comes to design, the solution is unique for each client.

Away from MichaelKate I love to travel, and I have visited 47 states since coming here from Poland. I have also traveled extensively in Europe.

I am a Santa Barbara native with a passion for furniture and interior design. I have been a designer for over 20 years and enjoy assisting clients with their ideas and giving their space a new life! I believe it is important to listen to the client’s vision and bring ideas that will accomplish their goal. I strive to build trusting relationships with my clients to make a positive and pleasant experience.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, gardening and painting. And, most of all, being Mom to two incredible daughters and two beautiful grandchildren.
